HOW DO I GET TO SMART WORKS NEWCASTLE?
Hadrian House Newcastle can be accessed by Durant Road, which links with the A167(M) and New Bridge Street which is a main road going through Newcastle city centre.
Hadrian Newcastle is 0.1 mile from Northumberland Street, the main retail destination in the city centre, and is only a 3-5 minute walk from many of Newcastles most popular shops and restaurants.
The property can also be easily accessed by local Metro routes with Haymarket Metro and Bus Interchange being 0.4 miles to the north and Monument Metro Station 0.2 miles to the south west.
From Haymarket metro or bus station
Leave Haymarket Metro Station and continue straight down Northumberland Street.
At the bottom of Northumberland Street turn left at Five Guys Restaurant onto New Bridge Street West.
Continue past Five Guys and Nationwide Building Society and Newcastle Library.
Cross John Dobson Street using the pedestrian crossing and continue walking until you pass the Laing Art Gallery entrance (on your left), then turn left into Higham Place.
Follow the path round to your right for the entrance to Hadrian House. Take lift/stairs to the third floor.
From Monument metro station
Leave Monument Metro station using the Blackett Street exit (stairs).
Walk straight ahead on Blackett Street until you reach Five Guys (bottom of Northumberland Street).
Continue past Five Guys onto New Bridge Street West. Walk past Nationwide Building Society and Newcastle Library. Cross John Dobson Street using the pedestrian crossing and continue walking until you pass the Laing Art Gallery entrance (on your left), then turn left into Higham Place.
Follow the path round to your right for the entrance to Hadrian House. Take lift/stairs to the third floor.

‘Suitability’ supports unemployed men get back to work, by providing free suitable clothing for interviews, and one-to-one support to help them feel more confident to succeed.
They are always looking for donations of any spare suits, shirts, ties, shoes or accessories. If you can make a donation, please contact Darren Tate on suitabilityCIC@gmail.com

WHERE DO YOUR CLOTHES COME FROM?
Our clothes come from retailers who donate surplus and sale stock, local women and community groups who run clothing drives for us.

WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE OR GET LOST?
Please call us on 0191 255 1906 and let us know if you are running late because we have an appointment schedule. If you are lost we are happy to talk through directions on the phone with you.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN'T MAKE MY APPOINTMENT?
Please always call and let us know if you are unable to attend your appointment, the more notice we have the better.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Ideally we want you to come to Smart Works alone, this is your time and we want to focus solely on you. We do recognise that childcare arrangements can be tricky so we are happy for you to bring children.

Ideally we want you to come to Smart Works alone, this is your time and we want to focus solely on you. If you would like your support worker to accompany you to help you with the appointment, please do discuss this with us when booking your appointment. Please note, we are a female only space.

WHEN ARE YOU OPEN FOR CLIENT APPOINTMENTS?
We are open Tuesday to Friday for client appointments.
Thanks to our virtual service we are also able to provide both coaching and clothing support remotely throughout the week.
