A huge thank you to our AMAZING Volunteer Sylvia who has raised over £4000 for Smart Works Newcastle.
Sky diving 14000ft from a small airplane in Dubai is no mean feat – particularly when it’s only been decided a week in advance!
When asked why she was Skydiving for Smart Works Newcastle, Sylvia said “[Through volunteering] I meet many women who have not had the opportunities in life that so many of us take for granted. Women, who [may not] have a support network of family, friends and colleagues who look out for them and encourage them to be the best they can be. It is a privilege and a joy to see their confidence grow as they recognise their skills and what they can offer a prospective employer”.
Given that Sylvia’s fundraising target was £500, saying that she ‘smashed it’ is an understatement.
